EXPERIENCE OF COLOMBIAN WOMEN AS A SPORTS MANAGER IN PROFESSIONAL SOCCER

The purpose of this research will focus on the intention of generating theoretical orientations related to women as sports managers in Colombian professional soccer, from a gender perspective, exploring the theoretical and epistemological elements that will support the participation, related to the conditions and factors that affect their performance as managers in Colombian soccer. The study is circumscribed in the Qualitative Paradigm under the Phenomenological-Interpretative approach. As a data collection technique, the in-depth interview will be used. The research scenario is represented by the Departmental Sports Directorates of the Ministry of Sports of Colombia (MINDEPORTE). The key informants will be represented by three (03) Colombian women who hold or have held managerial positions in professional soccer and one (01) world-renowned expert in gender in the field of sports. The information obtained will be processed in compliance with the triangulation stages referred to by Martínez (2006): descriptive, structural and theorization, which will allow the construction of the theoretical orientations, where the tendency and/or new information generated during the research in relation to women as managers in professional soccer in Colombia will be revealed.
