Abstract

This scholarly article explores communication not as an instrumental appendage to the teaching process, but as the very essence of an educational action with transformative potential. Through an in-depth analysis that integrates Paulo Freire’s critical pedagogy, Jürgen Habermas’s theory of communicative action, and contemporary contributions from dialogic educommunication, the article proposes a break with the “banking” and instrumental model of education. The research argues that pedagogical praxis must be grounded in a communicative rationality oriented toward mutual understanding and emancipation, in which the student establishes themselves as an active communicator and a political subject. The study examines educational, social, media, and technological dimensions, concluding that educational transformation requires an ethical reconfiguration of the teacher-student relationship based on dialogicity, intersubjectivity, and the social construction of knowledge within the framework of the lifeworld.
