The Society of Acceleration: An Ethical Perspective from Humanism and Transhumanism

Abstract

Behind those who control the algorithms, it gives the impression that there are ideological
groups with very clear interests. The main problem of artificial intelligence—whether
special, general, or superintelligence—is that it lacks common sense, a biological body,
feelings, emotions, intentions, dignity, among other capabilities. This narrative addresses,
from the perspectives of ethics and education, the topic of how modern technologies
accelerate our lives, shortening distances and fragmenting time into countless moments,
opening the way to multiple beginnings that rapidly lead to other beginnings that end
quickly so we can start experiencing other experiences that are as ephemeral or even
more ephemeral than the previous ones.
