This study explores the impact of educational robotics at the Libertador Simón Bolívar School in Tunja, within the context of basic education. Its aim is to evaluate how the implementation of Tic tools influences learning processes and skill development in students. Robotics is presented as a cross-disciplinary pedagogical strategy that integrates scientific, technological, artistic, and social knowledge, promoting a more dynamic and holistic educational approach. The methodology followed a qualitative approach, using participant observation and the analysis of hands-on activities carried out both inside and outside the classroom. The fieldwork was conducted throughout the school year with upper basic education students. Through practical activities, students showed increased interest in science and technology, suggesting that robotics can be an effective tool to foster motivation and engagement in learning. The findings reveal that robotics not only enhances the understanding of technological concepts but also strengthens critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills. In the discussion, the study emphasizes how educational robotics redefines pedagogical practice by moving away from rote learning and toward a more comprehensive and innovative educational model. The experience illustrates that robotics has the potential to transform how students relate to knowledge and to their surroundings, positioning them as active agents in the construction of meaning—aligned with constructivist principles such as those proposed by Piaget.
