When the barbaras write: the venezuelan female library versus the ‘gallegueans’ aesthetics
Keywords:
rewriting, Doña Bárbara, Rómulo GallegosAbstract
Based on the proposal of Anadeli Bencomo according to which Rómulo Gallegos can be understood as a founder of discursiveness, this researchaims to trace the rewriting process of Doña Bárbara carried out in the narrative of three authors published by the Venezuelan Women's Library. Therefore, the works “La carretera” (1943), by Dinorah Ramos; "Deslindes" (1943), by Ada Pérez Guevara and “Leitcia” (1940), by Irma de Sola will be approachedin order to understand howgalleguean writing intervenes in order to "return to the origins" of the political project that was in full swing during the 1940s and that had no space for the voices of intellectual women.
