Abstract

This essay is born from argumentative research related to the positivism epistemological model, highlighting the role of experience in investigative, epistemological and educational practice. A detailed analysis is made of experimental practice and the role of empiricism and rationalism as fundamental axes to achieve the research process. The educational practice manages to show that this epistemological model has a marked importance, since it is thanks to the scientific method that many advances in pedagogy have been achieved and these have set precedents to facilitate school activities for a large number of teachers. Certain criticisms of the positivist model are exposed in contrast, taking into account the role of emotions, values and creativity of the actors of knowledge.
