In the midst of continuous transformations, education has been subjected to significant In the midst of continuous transformations, education has been subjected to significant changes that define pedagogical development, which leads to an exhaustive review of a set of conceptual and theoretical elements that should be considered in environmental education, a position that poses the following objective: to reflect on the experiences of the School Environmental Project (PRAE) as a dynamic curricular axis to promote environmental principles in basic education students. The methodology used focuses on the documentary review based on the content analysis technique, which resulted in an academic-theoretical essay that responds to the interests of the PRAE; which becomes a theoretical foundation for analyzing the impact of the experiences that have been lived in the Educational Institutions, according to the preservation and conservation of the environment from a link to the communities and the practical exercise of sustainability; promoting from the classrooms, an environmental culture that contributes to channel actions and good practices that are a function of environmental values; which represents a significant theoretical contribution to the processes of formation and academic training of students.
