Abstract

Secondary education training processes are undergoing a transformation driven by Generative Artificial Intelligence and adaptive learning systems. This literature review seeks to analyze the ethical, pedagogical, and technical challenges, as well as the opportunities for personalization, offered by this technology. The PRISMA 2020 protocol was applied to ensure rigor in the selection of the 15 high-impact empirical studies, published between 2020 and 2025 in indexed databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, SciELO, and ERIC. The findings reveal a dichotomy: on the one hand, Artificial Intelligence (AI) enhances students' intrinsic motivation, innovation, and the development of digital skills through immediate feedback. On the other hand, its adoption without critical reflection exacerbates existing inequalities in technological infrastructure, particularly in Latin America. Questions also arise regarding academic integrity and teacher preparation. It is concluded that a successful implementation of AI in secondary education depends on pedagogical mediation, ethical literacy, and the formulation of public policies that guarantee equity and access to technology.
