Abstract

The transformation of teaching practices in primary education constitutes a central challenge in the digital age, characterized by the emergence of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, interactive displays, and virtual learning environments. This article aims to reflect on the challenges and opportunities facing primary school teachers in this context. From an analytical perspective, it examines methodological aspects related to curricular adaptation, the integration of technological resources, and the need to strengthen teacher training in digital skills. It highlights that, although barriers such as the technological gap, resistance to change, and infrastructure limitations persist, digitalization opens up significant possibilities for innovating teaching strategies, diversifying assessment methods, and fostering more inclusive and participatory learning. It concludes that the critical and responsible use of technology in the classroom requires solid public policies, institutional support, and teacher commitment to ensure that primary education responds appropriately to the demands of contemporary society.
