Abstract

Pedagogical support has become a fundamental strategy for strengthening teaching practice and improving educational processes. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between pedagogical support and educational quality at Santo Domingo Savio Primary School, Padre Bartolomé Vegh Polytechnic Institute, Esteban Martínez School, Manoguayabo Night High School at the secondary level, and the Ad Maiora Educational Space at both primary and secondary levels in the Dominican Republic. A quantitative approach with a descriptive design was adopted to examine the relationship between the variables under study. The population consisted of teachers from primary and secondary levels, to whom a structured questionnaire with a Likert-type scale was administered. The variables were operationalized into dimensions such as formative supervision, pedagogical feedback, and teacher professional development in relation to pedagogical support, and teaching performance, academic achievement, and classroom climate in relation to educational quality. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics to interpret teachers’ perceptions. The results showed that pedagogical support positively influences the strengthening of teaching performance and the improvement of pedagogical practices. In conclusion, the study highlights the importance of implementing systematic pedagogical support processes as a strategy to promote the continuous improvement of educational quality in educational institutions.
