Innovative pedagogical strategies for the prevention and reduction of school bullying in basic education students

This research-in-progress article aims to design innovative pedagogical strategies focused on preventing and reducing school bullying among basic education students, using a feasible project methodology with a quantitative approach under the positivist paradigm. The study will be carried out at the Unidad Educativa Nacional Bolivariana “José Martí” in Caracas, where verbal, psychological, and physical aggressive behaviors have been identified, affecting school coexistence and students’ emotional well-being. The research will include three stages: diagnosis, feasibility, and design of the pedagogical proposal, employing observation, surveys, and interviews with key teacher informants. Data will be analyzed through descriptive statistics and content analysis. It is expected that the findings will highlight the need to strengthen shared responsibility among school, family, and community, and to promote teacher training in emotional education and conflict mediation. The final product will consist of a model of contextualized pedagogical strategies that foster peaceful coexistence, respect, and empathy, contributing to the creation of safe and humanized educational environments.
