CURRICULAR TRANSFORMATION OF THE UPEL. SOME EXPERIENCES FROM THE ACTORS' POINT OF VIEW

The purpose of this article is to compile in documentary and descriptive form some of the experiences developed by the Vice-Rectorate for Teaching within the framework of the curricular transformation process. To this end, various documents and the systematisation of experiences, findings and evidence reported from the institutes that make up the university were read and systematised. In this way, a journey is presented towards the consolidation of the new curriculum design (2015), in which the curriculum is conceived as a public space, centred on the human being and aimed at the training of a teacher with a reflective, aesthetic, scientific and ethical vision. The evidence shows that the process of curricular transformation will contribute to the optimisation of education at all levels and modalities of the education system, by responding to new trends and approaches in teacher training and to the needs currently demanded by Venezuelan society.
