Abstract

One of the first problems presented in education is the digital divide that exists between those who access ICT and who are not, is a social impact that invites us to reflection about technologies, that is why it is separated will take a look at the current context in which it is The digital student gap and the population in general. Our goal is to raise awareness that not only the digital divide is in education but on the contrary it affects the entire society. In addition, we will address if technologies, provide opportunities to explore the topics of their interest at their pace and needs make education more flexible. So the use of technologies in education not only shortens the distances for learning, but encourages collaboration between students, facilitates communication in teamwork through different platforms and applications to work on projects. Next, the digital divide that despite the transformative potential that ICT has in the educational field has these tools also play an exclusion role that aggravates existing inequality, this inequality in the technologies is a critical aspect where it is a critical aspect where Not all students have the same accessibility to electronic devices. We must bear in mind that the digital divide not only affects the education but the social, in order to become an ally becomes aggressor as it helps the social and technological differences increase and do not diminish. In this sense, digital equity arises that seeks to ensure that all people have access to the same opportunities not only in the educational field but goes beyond the simple fact of using tools is appropriate.
